The second challenge

Trying so hard to not fall for the temptations of unhealthy stuff is really difficult.

I promise I won’t only write about the weightloss journey but I will share updates, progress etc. So I can go back to my blog and read if I lose the motivations one day

Grocery shopping,

the second challenge

I went grocery shopping today. I was missing a few ingredients for today’s dinner (changed plans), and while being at the store, I struggled so much. They had freshly baked cinnamon buns, and those are also my weakness. I took a picture and sent it to my friend and wrote, “I am tempted.” She said, “Nope!” so I answered her, “I walked away,” and I am proud of myself! I did NOT buy any! It’s not often I buy them, but today it was awful how they triggered me, but I managed to resist the temptations! Plus points to me!

Grocery list;

  • 2 bags of onions
  • 2 bags of carrots
  • 1 parsnips
  • 1 2kg bag of potatoes
  • Some bananas
  • One healthy yogurt natural
  • Lemon mayonnaise (the only unhealthy thing)
  • 1 bag of frozen vegetables
  • 1 package of button mushrooms
  • Pepsi Max (I will continue being strict with myself)

I changed my mind on today’s dinner and I am actually (be shocked! because I am!) craving fish! That has never happened before.

Today’s dinner

(the changed plan)

Fried raw potatoes (I will use measuring cup when making) ● fish ● vegetables ● button mushrooms ● onions ● boiled carrots ● maybe a bit of the parsnip as well

Yes I know i eat button mushrooms a lot but hey, atleast they are healthy!

I have also started to eat carrots as night snacks before bed; that’s why I bought more carrots. I have honestly made a 180 on my lifestyle when it comes to food. Maybe I should say… 300°, not fully 360° yet.

Meal prep tips for successful weight loss

Meal prepping is a game-changer for weight loss because it helps you control portions, avoid unhealthy choices, and save time. Here are some top meal prep tips to set you up for success:

Plan Your Meals Ahead
Decide your meals for the week before shopping.

Include a balance of lean protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs.

Batch Cook Staples
Cook large portions of basics like brown rice, quinoa, grilled chicken, and roasted veggies.

Store in airtight containers for easy mixing and matching.

Use Portion-Controlled Containers
Invest in containers that help you measure servings.

This helps avoid overeating and keeps meals consistent.

Prep Ingredients Separately
Chop veggies, cook grains, and proteins separately.

This gives flexibility to combine different meals throughout the week.

Keep Snacks Ready
Portion out nuts, cut fruit, or veggie sticks for quick, healthy snacks.

Choose Recipes That Reheat Well
Soups, stews, casseroles, and stir-fries are great for make-ahead meals.

Avoid foods that get soggy or lose texture quickly.

Mix It Up
Use different spices and sauces to keep meals interesting.

Variety helps you stick to your plan longer.

8. Label and Date Your Meals
This helps track freshness and avoid food waste.

9. Don’t Forget Breakfast
Prepare overnight oats, smoothie packs, or egg muffins for quick, healthy starts.

10. Be Realistic
Start small—maybe prep for 2-3 days at a time if a whole week feels overwhelming.

Goals of the month I want to try achieve

I thought of having some tiny goals each month to have something to work for would be fun. At least for me. And now when it is August and my birthday month I wanted to try something new.

Having goals in life always keeps you motivated to move forward in life. Some people like to focus on one or two BIG goals for the future and others prefer smaller goals to help move forward.

Myself? I prefer smaller goals but I also have big goals I try to focus on to achieve.

August 2025

The goals of this month is (3-5 mini goals per month);

  • Weightloss (continue with it). Try lose minimum 2kg.
  • Participate/attend in school as much as possible
  • Become a better blogger and really try focus on it to move forward with it
  • Plan my next solo traveler trip
  • Continue to work on my mental health

I know these goals seems weird but they might can keep me on the ground and move forward.

My mental health is my top priority though (even if its last on the list). My mental health isn’t the best and I must get out of it.

What is your goals? Monthly goals?

comment and tell me 🤗

First day of 2025 and this is how I hope my year goes

Happy New Year.all you beautiful souls! I wish you all a year of good health, love, happiness and positive vibes.

I have already posted a vision board for my 2025 but since I made that one I have really been thinking of how I hope and wish my 2025 goes go.

This year I will start take care of myself better ~ both mentally, physically and spiritually.  I feel that 2024 has really been bad for me personally so this year I will work hard to take care of myself.

I will start with my weightloss journey again. You all know I was maniac going to the gym last summer and this year I’ll go to the gym more ~ atleast 2 times a week. Between that I will go on walks (photowalks as well)

Try get out of my comfort zone, try new things, change my appearance (hair etc) ~ just to try something new.

Travel to new places and explore new locations is something I really hope will happen. A mini vacation even if it is just a weekend or 24h cruise.

I will continue to study, maybe start a new education this fall if the school have it. Some step closer to my preschool teacher education

Just a few things I have been thinking of. It will probably be added more on the list but that is OK. Im just gonna try working with all these.

Do you have any goals and plans for this year?

five goals for October

and just like that.. September of 2024 is officially over and today we entered the spooky and beautiful month of October. crazy how time flies!

Just like Sepember I sat a few goals I wish to achieve during that month but now it’s October and we need to add new goals for Octobe month.

hm. ● -2kg in weighloss ● finish math pt 3 ● gym atleast twice a week ● Blog atleast one post per day ● Start with my halloween DIY project.

Simple yet very strong goals for this month. I will continue to work on the -2kg weightloss journey per month. If I lose more, just gold! ● About blogging, I’m trying to do it everyday but for been blogging for a little bit over a month I have been crazy! I already have posted over 80 posts. Crazy!!

What are your goals for October 2024?

September goals | Blog, Life and weightloss ● nervous but excited

September is coming up and it goes fast! Wow. Can’t believe that it’s soon September and only 3 months left of 2024. That’s crazy!

I was thinking of making a small list every month (motivation/goals) list. You can join me as well 🥰 Let me know if you join this idea!

September 2024 goals ●●● BLOG RELATED; Grow so I reach 10 followers ● Blog at least once per day ~ if time, Blog two posts or more ● Share more photographs I take ●●● LIFE RELATED; Weightloss = gym at least twice per week. If time, try three ● -2kg (explaining this below) ●●●

sounds like a small little list that I hopefully can achieve 🥰 Looking forward to see the list at the end of September 🥰 Maybe you wanna join and make your own list of goals per month? Fun!

-2kg part; long story short. I was hysterical of losing weight two years ago when I lost so much in weight on 3 months. My brain didn’t follow the speed as my body shrunk and that wasn’t good. I was a maniac, I barely ate just to lose weight etc. Before my goals were 50kg on 5 months for an example.  So now I’m trying to calm my head and take it slow.

Work hard and you will see amazing results

the quote on my headline is one motivational quote I use to think off when my mentally health is low. Check out this post for 6 inspirational and motivational quotes I think you will like

look at the cloud on the right picture. It looks like a crocodile but my friend say it looks like a hippo 👀

For the third day in a row I actually went to the gym. That is insane. Never ever did I ever think of going to the gym three days in a row. I could do maybe twice a week last year but now I’m going a lot while E is in school and my school haven’t started.

I’m actually very surprised and out of words how I have managed with my bad mental health managed to get myself at the gym. That’s crazy! I just checked my workout app and I had 7 visits for the whole 2023 before my husband paused my membership and only this month I have been to the gym 10 times. Now that’s massive step for me.

Hopefully this will continue (maybe not this often like 3 days in a row) and I can see results. I hope and pray that this time my body will slim down in same speed as my brain. two years ago I lost 40kg on 3 months because I walked and walked and walked and walked. I was a maniac on walks. but my head didn’t follow the progress so I gained a lot when my mental health began.

Today’s workout is simple ☆☆☆ walk to the gym & to bus; 30 minutes ● Treadmill; 60 minutes (pace; 4. I lowered because of my knee and to see if the headache will be more mild after the workout – googled it last night)

after the work out on treadmill today I decided to go home (after having my friend J telling me off because I had a headache) to rest. I wanted to stay longer but I must listen to my body.

But why do I always get a massive headache / migraine every time I have been working out? it’s kinda annoying but hopefully it will calm down soo . I googled yesterday but that was a mistake.

no im not bragging or anything. I’m just sharing my one step forward in life.
