Sometimes, the most beautiful moments of fall come when we simply stop and look.
Held to the light, this autumn leaf tells a story only the sun can reveal.
A hand holding a bright orange maple leaf up to the sunlight in an autumn forest. The sunlight glows through the leaf, highlighting its veins.
While walking through the forest recently, I picked up a fallen leaf—burnt orange, slightly curled at the edges, and still warm with the memory of summer. I held it up to the sun… and it glowed.
In that light, the leaf transformed. Its veins glowed like tiny rivers of gold. Its colors deepened into fire. All the intricate details—the wear, the specks, the quiet signs of change—stood out with stunning clarity.
That one leaf became a small window into the soul of the season: A moment of beauty. A moment of change. A moment of letting go.

Black & White picture below
Which one do you prefer? The colored one or the black & white?
There’s something sacred about the way nature refuses to give up. Even when everything seems still, lifeless, forgotten—life finds a way to return. It creeps through cracks, breathes through decay, and reminds us that nothing truly ends. These mushrooms, growing from what was once a mighty tree, are quiet proof of that truth. We all carry a little of that same wild resilience — the kind that knows how to rise, even from the ruins.
We Grew From the Ruins
We were never meant to bloom here — among the broken bark and hollow echoes, in the damp breath of forgotten seasons. Yet something ancient stirred beneath the rot, a whisper of still alive.
No garden blessed us, no gentle hands tended our roots. The rain was cold, the nights were longer than memory itself. But we rose — quietly, stubbornly, like a spell cast in the dark.
We fed on what the world discarded, on silence, on endings, on the sweet decay of what used to be. And somehow, it became enough.
Now we stand — gold against the grey, fragile, fearless, born of ruin but belonging to the wild.
Let them say this place is dead. We know better. We have danced with the ghosts, and we have learned — how to live again.
(This post was supposed to be uploaded on October 9th – my apologies! I fell asleep while writing the post on October 9th and October 10th was just a weird day)
So many places and so little time. Crazy how days fly by, and I can’t wrap my head around the fact that we are soon in the middle of October! Now that’s crazy!
(October 9th) The day started with a visit to the dentist, where they shaped/filed a tooth for me (fixed the problem I had) and asked a lot of questions about my headaches & migraines. They used a funny-looking “camera scan” to take “photos” of my teeth, etc. Crazy! NO MOLDING WITH THE NASTY PURPLE BLOB STUFF ANYMORE! Yes, I was happy when I didn’t need to do that. lol! It only takes 3 weeks to get the mouth guard done, so in 3 weeks I’m getting it. Nervous but excited! Praying to God that it will help me with my headaches and migraines.
The reason why I’m nervous is because when I was younger, I used to have a mouth guard. Well, one night. I had it on for one night and woke up the next day completely deaf in my right ear. My sister even screamed straight in my ear, but I couldn’t hear anything. This lasted for a month (luckily I got my hearing back!), and ever since then, I’ve been terrified of those. So I am super nervous, almost at the point of being terrified and scared (I know it means the same thing), but I need to try. If this mouth guard works, I’m going to get one I can wear daily as well. Mama needs a break from the pain, and hopefully this works.
“Have you tried this and this medicine?” Yes. I have tried literally every migraine medicine that Sweden has to offer, but it doesn’t work.
If the mouth guard doesn’t work, I don’t know what else to do. I have been looking into Botox, but I’m also terrified of that!
Now let’s move on from the dentist and my scares.
After the dentist I went home. Eat something, and look for the charger to the R10 LP-E17 battery charger. It was gone. Already yesterday. Luckily I had power in my batteries! Hint; they didn’t last for long.
They have shipped my new 3-in-1 “machine,” so hopefully by Tuesday it will be here. My 3-in-1 machine is a new charging station for my batteries, and I can also use and charge it with a power bank! Uh, excuse me? Take all my money!! The charging station will also work as a power bank for my phone! Wait, what!? That’s insane! So technically you can say it’s like 1000i1—not really, but you get it. lol!
No rainboots andghost sound
Afternoon, I spent with my bestfriend. I actually had school but had meetings that made me not go to school for half an hour. I thought it was pointless. In school they were going to exercise—I don’t know why we would have that, but anyway—so I grabbed Elin (best friend), and we went out for a photowalk. Yup. I brought my cameras so she could use one (my faithful companion Canon 450D—Mufasa), and I used the R10. We took photos of mushrooms, and my goal with the photowalk was to find mushrooms on trees—with happiness I found some!
(October 10th input here; I was gonna convert the files so I could edit them but all off the sudden my memory card was gone and now it’s nowhere to be found!)
Back to October 9th; After the photowalk, we went to our place to have something to eat – Burger for me and pizza for Elin. Just laughing and talking. Having a great time! Time flies when we are together. Reels, jokes, games, gossip etc. Our hang outs are so different. Yes we play board games etc at restaurants (our restaurant) and just having a great time.
I love burned burger bun! Yes I’m weird.
We were supposed to go out and take pictures of the lights, etc., now with the colorful leaves on the ground and trees, but sadly, my batteries had died—all of them. I had 4 extra batteries, and each battery was supposed to last for two hours, but they didn’t. I need to look that up.
So we went to the grocery store. I bought my beloved soda I have been looking for. It’s rare, and I think they are discontinued now after this batch, which makes me so sad. It’s pure childhood memories for me. At least I got one bottle now 🙌🏻
Ghost sounds—this is funny! Me and Elin took a bus to the grocery store, and a man came on the bus as well, but while passing us, HE DID GHOST SOUNDS! I couldn’t stop laughing! Well, I guess he was practicing for trick or treat? Soon Halloween 🎃
What else? Well, I joined Michaela’s very first live on TikTok. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to be on video with her due to it being her first time, and she needed to do 2 more lives with 30 minutes each before I could join her.
Now this was my Thursday and here we go with friday
Friday wasn’t interesting; I went and got my son’s stuff. ordered medicines, picked up the medicines, and went home. Sadly I wanted to go out and have a moment for myself—photography. I didn’t have so much “alone time” after I came home. Batteries were dead, and I also had to go pick up E from school, make dinner, etc.
After d/WordPressied my phone and wanted to transfer the camera files to the phone (my laptop is too weak for Photoshop and Lightroom, so I use my phone when editing), but all of a sudden, the memory card was gone. I had two, but the 256GB card was all gone! Nowhere to be found! So strange!
My blog/WordPress was acting so weird! All of a sudden I had a blog theme design I had no clue where it came from. So many sites had been added, media files etc. (if you read HERE and HERE (after panic!) you will know what I mean with this)
Yeah, so this was my Thursday and Friday. Not so exciting yet panicking moment. No anxiety attack though! Woho! That sh*t was scary and I never wanna experience that ever again.
Some photos I took (not all off them but some)
These was taken with my phone due to the fact I cant show you pictures from my memory card (still missing)
I am so happy now. Finally my domain name is working on the blog! It cost me a bit of money to upgrade, but it was worth it. Maybe change the design later? Hmmm.
Yes, I have noticed that my post before this doesn’t have a headline/title. I fell asleep while writing it. The eyelids were so heavy.

Hello Pumpkins 🎃 How are you on this cold October day? Well, I’m in bed right now. Doing some online shopping. The charger for my camera batteries is nowhere to be found, so I ordered a new one where I can charge three batteries at the same time, plus I can charge it via one of my power banks when I’m on the go! The happiness when I found that charger. It wasn’t expensive either, which made me happier.
Today I have actually been out in the cute woods behind where I live. I have lived here for three years, and today was the first day I went there. Insane!
But the day started with shopping and a meeting. I saw the wooden area when I was waiting on the bus and took pics to send to a friend of mine in New Zealand who also is doing photography. Well, let me say like this; the conclusion was – go and buy my very first rain boots ever! Scary! But off I went to the town!
Honestly, it felt so weird to have rain boots on. I didn’t have any when I was younger due to me having wide feet and high ankles, which made it super difficult to find, but now, 30+ years later, I own my very first pair!
You see in the top picture what the boots look like; therefore, they are 50% off! which made me super happy (my smile when I think about it is crazy)!
After the shopping I had a meeting; it went well! Nothing serious, just a simple meeting. Afterwards I went home and put my phone on charge plus the power banks. After looking out the windows, I knew I had to grab my stuff and go out! The sun was disappearing, which makes the light amazing when taking pictures of tiny objects, which in this case were mushrooms. Super cute!
Due to me having diabetes and knowing how fast my feet/toes get cold when it’s autumn and winter, I grabbed my winter socks. So I had two pairs of socks on me. Fit perfectly in the boots.
I used my R10 mostly but also took some photos with the phone and I thought of showing you guys here. Not all off them though but some. I’ll probably tomorrow fix the photos from my cameras and show you those as well.
For me, this woods was magical. I don’t know how to explain, it just was. I was so shocked and surprised when I saw how beautiful the woods behind my home was, I almost dropped my jaw onto the ground. Note that I HATE being out in the woods due to the animals and bugs.
Lately I have discovered that I enjoy macro and close-up more on mushrooms. Is it because it’s autumn or? I don’t know. Before I didn’t do that, but I have also noticed that my eye for details has sharpened! Crazy!
Yeah, so this is pretty much my day. I was not out for long, though; my mind went crazy and grossed me out thinking of bugs in my hair, etc. Especially after I found clothes in the woods, and I moved a pair of jeans, and it was COVERED in disgusting bugs. The panic was no joke!
So what is plus and minus for today ?
Plus; the bargain on the rain boots • the woods behind my home • photographies • meeting that went well! • I didn’t fall asleep in bed while the food was done by M (which is gigantic for me! Whenever I lay down in bed or so and put a blanket on either my shoulders or feet, it’s K.O. (knock out) so I’m happy that I didn’t fall asleep. • I managed to get my domain working
Minus; the bugs • the cold • discovered that someone had taken a screenshot of a snap on my story and later blocked me, so I don’t know who has done it. • finding a suitcase, one fancy men shoe and other clothes in the woods – made me uncomfortable.
Three things right now anda mind I have to calm down, even though it is really hard.
Hello pumpkins! I hope you all have had a beautiful day! Today has been freezing and now you honestly can feel that fall / autumn is here.
Today i have actually been in school for a whole day! Last week (as you can read here) I had to go home from school when I did this it class..
It has been alright today. I managed to fix a presentation (Group project, but I’m very picky of how the presentstions apperance etc) and held a speech infront of the whole class on just barely one hour 🙌🏻 Woho!
I participated in both classes today which makes me happy! Hopefully I’ll be able to study and catch up with everyone. We’ll see.
Three things right now; I’m currently listening on a song on repeat. I love It! Antonio Vivald with rawrawrawrrawr – hayde hayde hayde.
The day is here and im currently on my fourth sort of transportation. The stress is real and I can honestly say It’s easier to find where to go in Italy than in Stockholm, Sweden.
The alarm went off at 6am as usual. I packed pretty much all my stuff yesterday but had to add some stuff before I left for the bus to go to the train station.
The stress this whole morning/fornoon was insane but now im on my last transportation til the end destination for the weekend.
Bus, train , subway and bus. All this since 8.12am til noon. Insane.
And being a Swedish person going to the capital of Sweden and getting lost everywhere is kind of embarrassing. Even if I asked three different staff for directions to find the correct platforms, etc., I still managed to get lost. It was horribly bad with signs of where the platforms, etc., were.
It’s so bad that I think it’s easier to find in Italy. The bus, the trolley, street navigation, etc. Compared to here. That’s crazy 😅
I just wanted to pop in here and say good morning and tell you how my morning has been. I’m going to try to get some rest because I’m dead tired, and I need to save battery on my phone. I only have 8% and I’m at my end destination in 30 minutes. 🥴
I’ll blog more later. Tell you all about today’s adventure etc
HAPPY MONDAY! I wish you a wonderful and amazing week!
How are you all?? It’s a few days ago since I wrote last time. September 11th. So it’s 4 days ago?
What have I done since the last blog post? Long story short: I had a meeting at the hospital and I have been struggling for hours/days to get the pictures I took on September 10th onto my phone so I could edit them (yes, I use my phone to edit when my laptop is too weak for it), but last night, I managed. So imagine, I have been trying since, like, Friday or something to get the pictures to my phone.
Another reason why I haven’t blogged is because I have had horrible headaches (yes, I have been doing the pictures to phone while having the horrible headaches), and today, the mother bomb of migraines smacked my head.
I messaged my teacher, letting her know that im not coming today and asked if she could tell my other teacher I have today. I could barely walk this morning (5am) because of the migraine, and I thought I was gonna be able to go to school if I stayed up a bit and “wake up” but no. I messaged her and went to bed.
Mind you that no medicines work on my headaches and migraines, and writing this, the migraine is going strong, so I’m struggling extremely much to write this post. (It’s 10.54am right now while writing this and I started this post at 8.30am ish. Been writing since.
I’m going back to bed, sunglasses on, headphones to help kill a little bit noise and black clothes over my head. Yes that’s how I survive ish.. I’m scared to move to be honest. Every step I take is .. ohmygod.
Enough complaining; I just wanted to pop in and let you all know what’s going on and why I have been quiet.
The picture in this post is a picture I took when I was out on a photo walk last Wednesday (10th).
Hopefully i will be able to blog more later today and show you more photos but for now, I’m clocking out for a bit.
See you all later, my pumpkins! And thank you for still checking in, reading, giving me likes and comments. I will answer the comments when I feel better. I promise
Past few days has been crazy chaotic! There for it’s been quiet in the blog.
School, studies, whirlwind for a son, housework, assignments and bleh. So much!
This weekend, it’s one of the biggest markets in Sweden. With over 100 sellers, Tivoli/carnivals, etc., but this year I didn’t go on it. It’s the same every year. Same sellers and same attractions. Nothing new. Plus E is home, and I know it would be too much for him. With all the sounds, people, impressions, etc. He would probably have several meltdowns.
So this weekend I have been doing laundry, sent in assignments, worked on group projects we have in school on the same time as having a whirlwind of son who hasn’t been sitting one single bit. 😮💨 That’s life!
One thing I had mission to do in one group project was to make collages with Autumn / Fall vibes. I managed to do these two but the others, I used my photos I have taken around here to show them all the beauty of where we live.
I am so glad I had the pictures on the editing program saved up because I didn’t have them on my phone or laptop (working on that one is still a disaster!) so I managed to download a few of my pictures! I will post them better later but these are just the few collages I made for the slideshow for the presentation!
I honestly can’t wait till all the colors are here! Autumn is my favorite season of the year! I mean, who can’t like it? The colors, the crispy air, coziness, blankets, pumpkins, and all the decorations! If it was my choice, I would have autumn all year round (especially when it’s Halloween—my favorite holiday!).
I know I didn’t blog yesterday. I am so sorry! It was chaotic at home, but today I will blog.
Hi, hello, my beautiful people! I hope everything to fine with you all!
I have just come home from school (well, kind of; an hour ago), so I’m currently in the bath writing this.
Today in school, the classmates, two teachers, and I have been to the forest. Just because we are studying to be the pre-step preschool teacher, we had to go to the forest today. Just because the teachers go to the forest with children sometimes.
What did we do? We went on a walk and answered questions. Well, you talked with your mate you were paired with about them. Some questions were kind of weird, and I and AK (the classmate) pretty much didn’t know what to answer on some of them. One question was, “Have you been dead and had experience? What do you remember?” Like, how would I know that?
Such a weird question. Oh well, after that walk, the teachers spoke about Buddhism and how they do mandalas, blow them out after prayers, etc. So we had a mission to make our mandalas.Odd, but we did it. I took pictures, but I don’t think people want me to share that, but it’s all good.
After that we had a bit of lunch and talked, and I and S joked with one of our teachers (L). She drank water out of a syrup bottle, and I told S earlier for fun, “She drinks out of a syrup bottle. I bet it’s white syrup,” and I was right! Crazy!
Anyway, the jokes we did with the teacher (she joined in on the jokes) and said that we think it’s something else (vodka), and L laughed and said yes. So we continued and said it was mixed with some water so she wouldn’t get exposed. We all laughed.
So me and S went on with the bottle and L told us some funny stories etc. It was actually a fun moment in the forest (even though I complained a lot! Haha! I dislike being in the forest due to all the bugs etc)
After lunch we had an other activity (we did four activities in total during this class) and that was to paint, either something with forest related or feelings. I tried to make a sunset but that one failed extremely hard. I’m better to paint with pens than watercolors.
Fun part… or maybe not so funny, but S and AK were fine with it. I did some color splatter on my painting, and it accidentally came on AK’s bag and S’s shoes. I apologized so much when we saw it. I was so embarrassed. I even splattered paint on myself, my bag and the bench we sat on. Atleast I participated. Lol!
I had already told my teachers and classmates that I’m a photographer and a blogger, so they had to be prepared that I would take photos. I did. A few. Lol.
I’m not sharing all, just some. Click on the picture to see bigger/full size.
About my fingers (I will explain better in another post): my son has pulled my fingers so much when wanting to show me things or get me to follow him, so I have started to get problems with my fingers. Therefore, the sports tape on them keeps them “straight” and helps with the pain.
The bag in the last picture actually has a text on it, but I removed it due to it not being a kind text. No, I don’t have the text out towards people when I walk with it.
Yes, I have permission to share pictures of my classmates when we had the painting activity. I asked and told them I would cover their faces. They were okay with that except one student. which I respect, so she’s not in any pictures.
